What in the world is Nin?

So, as we previously mentioned, our optional fee is split into two parts: first part will be used for a visit to Ada Ciganlija, Belgrade's summer hotspot; and the second part will be used to visit Nin, a small town near Zadar. What makes it so special? Let's find out.

Nin is located to the north of Zadar, and has quite a rich and fascinating history. It is full of archeological findings that go back all the way to ancient times, and in the early Middle Ages it used to be a religious and political center of Croatia. This is a town where history really comes to life. One of the main attractions is the Church of the Holy Cross, from the 9th century, also known as 'the world's smallest cathedral.' It is also known for its beautiful sandy beaches, clear water, and sources of healing mud. Nin is a relaxing place, off the beaten path. In other words, you will get the chance to explore a place that is typically not in travel guides. So, get away from the crowds for a bit and discover Croatia as the locals know it.

Ada... what?

Hello hello :)
So, as you probably already know, the Summer University applications are now open! We hope you applied already ;) In the meantime, we'll get you excited for the summer by revealing little bits and pieces of what we have in store for you. You probably noticed that the optional fee is divided into two parts. And you're probably wondering: what in the world are those places? Ada Ciganlija? Nin? Whaaaat? So let's get to know these places, okay? We'll start with Ada Ciganlija.

Ada Ciganlija, otherwise known simply as Ada, is an artificial peninsula on the river Sava not too far from the city center in Belgrade. If you're in Belgrade during the summer, this is THE place to be. Ada offers an opportunity for a unique getaway in the heart of the city. It is best known for its beaches and recreational facilities. So jump in the water, cool down from the summer heat, play some sports (a little something for everyone here: from tennis and golf to kayaking and water-skiing... you name it, you got it!), try an adventure (bungee jumping, anyone?), grab a few drinks from one of the many bars, listen to good music, take a relaxing walk, have a picnic... So many things to do and see in this beautiful oasis. But we won't give everything away. You have to come and discover this place for yourself :) We know you can't wait :)

Sneak a peak at... Zadar :)
