Here's a little preview: Zemun!

Hey hey, dear AEGEEans!

Summer is getting closer and closer, and we are counting down the days till Balkan Funk finally starts! Applied already? If not, don't wait till the last day and apply TODAY! We can't wait to show you all the things that Serbia and Croatia have to offer. Last week we offered you a preview of Kalemegdan, a well-known fortress in Belgrade, and this week we are offering you another preview. Check it out!

This time we visited Zemun, a very special part of Belgrade. It has quite an interesting history; it used to be a part of the old Austro-Hungarian Empire and was an independent town for 200 years. This allowed Zemun to develop its own individual identity very different from Belgrade itself. Because of its history, Austro-Hungarian influence is very visible here. The charming streets of Zemun are full of lively cafés and restaurants that will surely win your heart over. The Old Town will transport you back in time, and the view from the top of the hill will captivate you. So don't wait any longer because NOW is the time to apply to Balkan Funk and get the opportunity to see all these beautiful sights. We are waiting for you! :)
